MedRay (شركة المراكز الدولية للأشعة الطبية) is a diagnostic radiology and medical imaging center operating in Jordan. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal and health data belonging to our patients and referring doctors, including data processed when we deliver lab results and reports via WhatsApp.

2. What Data We Collect
2.1 Patients
- Name, national ID / passport number, phone number, and date of birth provided at registration
- Referring doctor and clinical details relevant to the requested imaging study
- Imaging results, radiology reports, and associated PDF documents
- Payment and accession records tied to a visit
2.2 Referring Doctors
- Name, specialty, and phone number, used to deliver patient results relevant to studies they ordered
3. How We Use Your Data
- To perform, process, and deliver diagnostic imaging results
- To send results and report notifications to patients and referring doctors via WhatsApp
- To confirm payment and manage billing for services rendered
- To comply with legal and medical record-keeping obligations under Jordan law
- To respond to patient or doctor inquiries about a visit or result
We do not sell personal or health data to third parties. We do not use patient data for advertising.
4. Data Sharing and Sub-Processors
We use the following third-party sub-processors to deliver results and operate our systems:
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — WhatsApp Business API, used to deliver report notifications, PDFs, and portal links to patients and doctors
- Awael AI (أوائل الرواد للذكاء الاصطناعي) — automation and technology provider that operates the messaging workflow on our behalf, under our instruction, as a data processor
- Our hosting, PACS, and RIS infrastructure providers, engaged solely to store and process imaging and system data on our behalf
Each sub-processor is bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We only share the data necessary to deliver results and operate the service.
5. Data Retention
- Medical records and imaging results: retained in accordance with Jordan medical record-keeping requirements
- WhatsApp delivery logs (message status, not full content): retained for service quality and audit purposes
- Billing and payment records: retained as required by Jordan tax law
6. Your Rights
Under Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal and health data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, subject to medical record-keeping legal requirements
- Object to processing in certain circumstances

7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal and health data, including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit, including WhatsApp report delivery
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized MedRay personnel only
- Secure storage of imaging and report records
8. WhatsApp and Meta
We use the WhatsApp Business API, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to deliver imaging results and report notifications directly to patients and referring doctors. When messages are sent through this service, they are processed by Meta in accordance with Meta's own privacy policy and WhatsApp's terms of service. Patients may opt out of WhatsApp notifications at any time by contacting us directly.
9. Cookies
Our website (medraycenters.com) may use minimal cookies for analytics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
